More buyers visit the China Sourcing Fair to source new products from China

After yesterday's successful opening, positive mood prevailed at the China Sourcing Fair: Gifts & Home Products. More buyers arrived at the AsiaWorld-Expo on the fair's second day to source new, creative products developed by China and Asia's suppliers.
The fair features a wide spectrum of products in the gifts & home products sector, filling over 3,500 booths. Suppliers from across major markets in Asia occupy 10 huge exhibition halls of the venue.
Buyers to this sourcing event affirmed their decision to attend, among them was Dee Longe from Australia-based Olive dee Longe Export Co. "I've met new suppliers from India, Indonesia, China, of course, and even Korea. The quality of products seems quite good. I'll definitely be coming back and bringing other people with me," she said.
By gathering a large quantity of China suppliers in convenient Hong Kong, the fair attracted many volume buyers to AsiaWorld-Expo. Well-known international companies like BNT Scandinavia; Dicksons Inc; Ducks Unlimited; Groupe Carrefour; Folli Follie; Ford; Helenic Duty Free Shops; Norm Thompson Outfitters; Office Depot; Panasonic; Rewe Group, Staples, TRG Group and more sent their representatives to the show.
Hong Kong-based companies including Bigboxx.com; Chow Tai Fook; Coles Myer Asia; The Children's Place (Disneystore); Cathay Pacific; Mannings; MasterCard; Li & Fung; and ThreeSixty Sourcing were also at the show to source new products.
"Thanks to our aggressive worldwide marketing campaign, the fair has become known as specialized, must-attend sourcing event. The shows are attracting serious, senior-level business people who come to the fair ready to buy new products. Exhibitors at our shows can quickly begin negotiations with these buyers and don't have to waste time with people who are just window shopping, like at many other trade shows," said Tommy Wong, general manager of Global Sources Exhibitions.
To help buyers locate their targeted products and suppliers, Global Sources divided the fair into different pavilions according to their product categories and countries and regions. Meanwhile, the fair also features government-sponsored pavilions from South Korea, India and the Philippines, as well as from emerging mainland China sourcing hubs including Heze, Hunan, Liaoning, Shantou, Tianjin and Yangjiang.
Global Sources executive director, Sarah Benecke, said: "We intentionally worked to attract suppliers from outside of China and from new mainland China manufacturing regions to give buyers a wide range of sourcing options."
Debuting at the spring show, the Brand Zone in Hall 1 introduces some newly-established brands to buyers. Suppliers at this zone are those who want to promote their own B2C and B2B brands through product innovation and quality.
Also not to be missed are the hugely-popular free conference sessions. Covering interesting topics on import/export negotiating techniques, intellectual property rights, customs regulations and product trends, the conference drew many buyers' attention.
The fair will run for two more days until April 23.
