Asia's biggest sourcing event for fashion accessories achieve great success in China
Despite approaching the final day of the China Sourcing Fair: Fashion Accessories in Shanghai (December 12-14, 2007), the busy atmosphere still spread all over Shanghai New Int'l Expo Centre.
Many buyers rushed to the venue to take their last chance to finalize deals with suppliers they met at this largest specialized trade show for fashion accessories in Asia. Meanwhile, the show also continued to greet many new visitors. As the show is held until 5:30pm, they got sufficient time to walk through it.
The China Sourcing Fair was first launched in April 2006 in Hong Kong, and has then expanded in each edition. The December fair, co-located with the China Sourcing Fair: Baby & Children's Products, featured over 440 booths of quality suppliers from mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the Philippines and India. The combined shows offer buyers a convenient sourcing opportunity to find the latest products on a more frequent basis.
Aiming to source ladies' handbags, travel bags and sets, fashion jewelry and children's stuffed toys, China-based Bilgola was able to get many useful contacts at the fair. "I've attended the fair in Hong Kong before but Shanghai is very convenient for us. We've made lots of contacts [here] and I've got a book full of name cards, which we will present to our customers in Europe," said Lydie Fayard, the company's executive.
Another domestic buyer Bossini Enterprise also shared the same view. "We visited China Sourcing Fairs in Hong Kong before and we've come here to find suppliers of both fashion accessories and baby and children's products. Shanghai is an important stop in domestic sourcing. We already found some suppliers for baby and children's clothes at the fair," assistant merchandising manager, Nelson Yan, said.
While the fair helps buyers to connect with many quality suppliers, it also enables suppliers to develop their sales network. Xinyin Industry Co., Ltd from Shanghai, for example, expanded their export businesses through exhibiting at the China Sourcing Fair.
"We have participated in the fair for four times in Hong Kong. This is the first time we came to Shanghai. We are very happy with the results as we met many serious volume buyers here. We received 4-5 big buyers who were extremely interested in our products on the first day. We will follow up [with them] afterwards," said Hui Ke Ping, managing director of the company.
Based on such good results, the company decided to join the shows in 2008 and 2009 in order to expand their sales network further through the fair.
All these positive comments consolidated the status of the China Sourcing Fairs as an effective trading platform. Based on such bullish results, Global Sources will continue to recruit more quality suppliers and make the fairs even more successful.
The next China Sourcing Fair: Fashion Accessories will be held April 12-15, 2008 at Hong Kong's AsiaWorld-Expo. Over 800 booths will be on display, giving you a wide range of the latest products for selection. We look forward to seeing you again in Hong Kong, April 2008!
