China Sourcing Fair receives huge support from the trade
The China Sourcing Fair: Baby & Children's Products (December 12-14, 2007) concluded successfully today at Shanghai New Int'l Expo Centre, China with rave reviews from both visitors and exhibitors.
As the only major sourcing event in Asia serving the fast-growing baby & children's product industry, buyers found the specialized show nature — with products 100% focused on the industry — highly efficient.
What's more, the fair gathered hundreds of quality suppliers from mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the Philippines and India under one roof. All these unique features not only attract first-time visitors, but also many regular buyers to the three-day event.
On his second visit to the China Sourcing Fair, Nigeria-based buyer Chris Onyekwelu from Cee Square Ltd returned to the show for new sourcing contacts. "I have come to the fair looking for baby bottles and other baby products. I come here because the fair is very well organized," he said.
Based on the satisfactory sourcing results gained from the previous China Sourcing Fairs in Hong Kong, a domestic buyer visited the Shanghai show. "We visited China Sourcing Fairs in Hong Kong before and we've come here to find suppliers of both fashion accessories and baby and children's products. Shanghai is an important stop in domestic sourcing. We already found some suppliers for baby and children's clothes at the fair," Nelson Yan, Assistant Merchandising Manager of Bossini Enterprise, said.
The fair is co-located with the China Sourcing Fair: Fashion Accessories. The two events feature over 440 booths, bringing thousands of new products from these two sectors to buyers.
Good feedback was also heard from suppliers. Hong Kong-based Century Star (China) Ltd participated in the show to explore the opportunity in the domestic market and build up local sales network, but the feedback they got at the fair exceeded their initial expectation. "We met international and domestic buyers and we are happy with buyer traffic and quality at the fair. Among the buyers we met, 75% of them are from overseas. Many of them are serious volume buyers," said Eric Lee, the company's representative in Shanghai.
All these positive comments consolidated the status of the China Sourcing Fairs as an effective trading platform. Based on such bullish results, Global Sources will continue to recruit more quality suppliers and make the fairs even more successful.
The next China Sourcing Fair: Baby & Children's Products will be held April 20-23, 2008 at Hong Kong's AsiaWorld-Expo. Be sure to attend this event in April again for more new and useful sourcing contacts!
