The Taipei Int'l Furniture Show 2008 was held February 28 - March 2, 2008 at the Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall in Taiwan.The show featured 1,101 booths, a 32-percent increase over the 2007 edition. A total of 299 domestic and overseas suppliers participated in the fair.
The fair was divided into 12 theme pavilions to help buyers locate their products of interests in a convenient way. These pavilions included: LOHAS green furniture, Green building materials, Fashion/Designers furniture, OA furniture, Indoor furniture, Outdoor furniture, Glass furniture, Lighting, Foreign exhibits, Furniture parts and accessories, Domestic designers' masterpieces and the media.
As Taiwan's largest event for furniture, the fair attracted over 50,000 visitors, 484 of which were from overseas. These buyers came from Japan, the USA, Hong Kong, Korea, China, India, Thailand, Singapore and Canada.
During the four-day show, fair organizer TAITRA organized 192 rounds of procurement talks for 31 important foreign buyers. These one-on-one sessions was estimated to have generated over US$40 million of order for Taiwan-made furniture.
