A total of 4,339 visitors showed up at the show's debut, more than half of which were from other countries. Mainland China, Japan, the US, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Australia, Singapore and Canada ranked as the top ten countries where the most number of visitors came from.

A total of 254 exhibitors offered a range of parts and accessories, including shock absorbers, automotive gauges, suspension parts, automotive lamps and lights, and GPS navigation systems.

The fair also featured informative forums to help visitors keep abreast of developments in the industry. Presentations on innovations and technologies in Hong Kong's automotive industry were also held. Among the topics discussed were developments in solid-state lighting, motion actuators, new materials and surface engineering, fiber optics, and on-road monitoring and remote maintenance advice systems.

The fair was organized by the TDC together with the paper Communication Exhibition Services and the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association Ltd. The Hong Kong Auto Parts Industry Association and the Society of Automotive Engineers - Hong Kong Section were co-organizers.

The event was supported by the Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau of Zhejiang, the People's Government of Changchun Municipality, Zhejiang Ruian People's Municipal Government, the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, the Federation of Hong Kong Machinery and Metal Industries, the Hong Kong Diecasting Association, the Hong Kong Productivity Council and the Hong Kong Metals Manufacturers Association.
